The Society meets four times per year in March, May, September and November.

Meetings are held in the Beaton Hall, Methlick and refreshments are usually served

Over the years a very wide range of speakers and presentations have been enjoyed. There have been talks on local history, archeology, the Doric language, farming, tracing family history, flying, medicine, the local ambulance service and many other topics.

The next meeting of the Society will be held on 9th July.

It will take the form of a guided walk by Wullie Adie through the extensive site in the woods near Gurgedyke.

Wullie has spent a very long time divining and mapping the archaeology of the site.

His findings have revealed countless graves, standing and recumbent stones and buildings of the Neolithic peoples who inhabited this area

Please meet my the gate to the Haddo Path near the Community Garden at 7.30pm.

Make sure you have sturdy footwear and please park responsibly in the laybyes or at the Community Garden.

This should be an informative and enjoyable evening.
