The Society has gathered together from various sources an impressive collection of items relating to life in bygone days in Methlick. The room, upstairs in Beaton Hall, contains domestic, farming, sporting, school and clothing items as well as general articles. There are extensive business, farming and club records and very many photographs of people and events in the village.

The room is usually open when there is a major event taking place in the Hall. The Society is happy to open the room at other times for groups or individuals by arrangement - you can telephone Florence on 01651 806440 to make an appointment to visit.

Update

With the refurbishment of the Beaton Hall all the artefacts in the Heritage Room had to be removed to allow building works to proceed.  This is now complete.

As the room is now beautifully appointed the Society decided to redesign the shelving to allow better display and interpretation of the artefacts.  The room is now fully operational and ready to welcome visitors
